Continuing Professional Development Workshops:
Video Podcasting by The Bubble
Create in Partnership with Project Arts Centre
Date: 17 April 2008

This workshop will take place in partnership with Project Arts Centre. It will cover aspects of video podcast production and distribution. It will be conducted by Tim Duggan and John Callaghan of Mercury Boy. Mercury Boy are the producers of TheBubble.ie, Ireland's first video podcast. Mercury Boy now produces video podcast content for the Irish Times website. Both John and Tim have experience conducting video production workshops at Axis Arts Centre in Ballymun, and John has taught video courses in the University of Limerick.

The course in the morning will cover:

Podcast Planning and Production
Audio Recording and Editing
Video Recording and Editing
Formatting for the web
Web distribution and marketing
Basic website development

The afternoon will consist of the attendees working in teams to devise video or audio podcasts which will then be broadcast online (2.00 - 5.00pm)

The workshop is suited to those active in the arts and culture industry, artists and arts practitioners across art forms. The participants should ideally bring their own laptop. The workshop will run on 17 April over 1 day, from 10.30 -12.30 and 2.00-5.00pm.

The workshop which is organized in partnership with Project Arts Centre, will take place at the Project Arts Centre, 39 East Essex Street, Dublin 2.

Places are limited to 20 – Cost €25. (Light Lunch included)
Places can be reserved but must be paid for at least two days in advance.
(Reduced rate for Create or Project Arts Centre Members €15)
