Sarah TuckAt the end of October, Sarah Tuck will be leaving Create after over five years with the organisation to take up a prestigious AHRC funded Collaborative Doctoral Award with Birmingham City University and Belfast Exposed Gallery.

Sarah Tuck on her new opportunity:

“The last five  years have been an exciting and rewarding  experience. I owe sincere thanks to my colleagues, our Board, the Arts Council , the artists and communities we work with, our funding partners and all those in the collaborative arts sector and the wider Irish arts sector who have partnered with Create and helped make it what it is today, the leading development agency for collaborative arts.

I’m really delighted to have been offered this new academic opportunity and to take my career in arts management in fresh directions.”

Comments by David McConnell, Chairperson of the Board of Directors at Create:

“Sarah has done an astounding job during her time as Director of Create and the Board has fully supported the many initiatives she has taken.  As a result of Sarah’s vision and energy, Create is now firmly placed as the national development agency for the collaborative arts sector. Create has regularly funded organisation status with the Arts Council and Sarah led the introduction of a range of support programmes for artists and communities including continuing professional development workshops and public talks and symposia.  Create has also established a number of partnerships in areas such as Arts and Health, Arts and Cultural Diversity and Arts and Older People. We wish Sarah well in her future career.”
